My name is Bob Gray. I’m the pastor of the Northwest Baptist Church. About three years ago, God impressed on me to start a church. I made that known in February of 2005. I prayed about it for a year and again made it known in February 2006, that God had not let that vision to start a new church fade. On April 16th, 2006 the Northwest Baptist Church held its first services in our home with 19 people in attendance.

I’m retired military and have over 14 years full time pastoral ministry. I was born-again Easter 1985 in San Antonio, Texas and since then have served in various lay ministry capacities as a deacon, trustee for over 4 years and then pastoral ministry for over 14 years. Our sponsoring church is Helotes Independent Baptist Church led by Pastor Don Stone.

The Bible is God’s love letter to mankind and it has the answers for life’s situations. My desire is to preach and teach the Bible is such a way that it can be easily understood and useful in our everyday lives. One of my personal goals and goals of the Northwest Baptist Church is the personal growth of each and every member of the church according to God’s will and to glorify the Lord.
